1 portion of its respective food group.

4 portions of grains 3-8oz a day, half of that as whole grains 

5 portions of vegetables

thats about 1-3 cups a day. 

3 portions of protein

which is about 3-6 oz a day.

2 portions of fruit

about 1-2 cups a day.

1 portion of dairy sparingly,

which can be around 5% daily
